Sunday 27th November - Swadlincote Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night as scheduled and some superb games played across the division.

Leaders Deportivo De La Zouch made it four wins on the spin and four clean sheets to boot, as they were 2-0 winners over Budweiser FC to keep their superb start to the season going, ending their oppositions in the process.

Boom Xhakalaka remain two points off the leaders as they stay in third place following an impressive performance, beating Corona Rovers 6-1.

Paralympiakos moved up to fourth place as they also collected maximum points with a 6-1 victory over Swadlincote Rovers.

New boys Maradona Kebabs made their league debut this week and gave a good account of themselves on their opening game, losing out 1-0 to Lawnmower FC in a closely competed game, as they look to get used to the league in the coming weeks.
