Sunday 2nd July - Swadlincote Round-Up

Budweiser FC dominated the game from start to finish, delivering an outstanding performance against Corona Rovers in a one-sided encounter. It was clear from the beginning that Budweiser FC had the upper hand, and they wasted no time in asserting their dominance. The match saw an impressive hat-trick from Leeroy, along with a brilliant brace from Ben, contributing to Budweiser FC's comprehensive 7-0 victory. The only reason the scoreline didn't reach double figures was thanks to the heroic efforts of Corona Rovers' goalkeeper, Morgan. Budweiser FC showcased their skills and control throughout the game, leaving no doubt about their supremacy on the pitch.


In a clash between underdogs, The Underdogs managed to secure a 2-0 victory against Athletico de Swad, who are currently leading the league. The leaders faced a tough challenge in their bid to secure another three points. However, it was Tom from The Underdogs who stole the show with a fantastic display, netting both goals and proving to be the decisive factor in their triumph. Athletico de Swad, despite their status as the top team in the league, struggled to break through The Underdogs' resolute defense, showcasing the underdogs' ability to hold their ground against formidable opponents.


Paralympiakos faced off against Villa Wycombe in a highly competitive and evenly matched encounter. The game witnessed a see-saw battle between the two teams, with both sides showcasing their skills and determination. Paralympiakos took the lead in the first half through a marvelous individual effort by Matt, who danced past three defenders before finding the back of the net (1-0). However, just before the halftime whistle, Villa Wycombe equalized, leveling the score at 1-1. The second half saw both teams exhibiting their talent and resilience, but neither could find the breakthrough until three minutes before the final whistle. Fasil gave Villa Wycombe the lead, and Finn sealed the victory with two well-taken goals, securing the three points for Villa Wycombe.
