Sunday 2nd October - Swadlincote Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night including new team Lawnmower FC who played their first fixture with us, losing 3-2 in a well competed game against West Hurts.

The top two teams pretty much put everyone else out of the title running this week as they shape up to play each other this coming weekend in what could be a title decider!  Leaders Deportivo De La Zouch claimed a 2-0 win over Boom Xhakalaka whilst second placed Budweiser FC won by the same scoreline against Netsix and Chill, as just a point remains the difference between the two.  Elsewhere MFS FC moved up to third after they grabbed a 3-1 win over Paralympiakos.

We are pleased to see the league full to capacity once again and thank all teams for their continued reliability and commitment in ensuring the league runs smoothly each week.
