Sunday 30th April - Swadlincote Round-Up

In the latest round of matches in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league, there were some stunning results as teams battled it out for supremacy on the pitch.

In the first match of the day, Swads Unfittest took on The Underdogs. Despite their name, Swads Unfittest looked in great shape as they took control of the game from the outset. The Underdogs put up a brave fight, but they were no match for Swads Unfittest, who eventually ran out 4-0 winners. It seems that The Underdogs still have some work to do if they want to compete with the big dogs in this league.

Next up, Paralympiakos faced off against Budweiser FC. Despite their spirited name, Paralympiakos were unable to overcome the might of Budweiser FC, who dominated the match from start to finish. In the end, Budweiser FC won a resounding 9-0 victory, leaving Paralympiakos feeling a little deflated. Budweiser FC certainly showed they are a force to be reckoned with in this league.

Lawnmower FC and Corona Rovers went head to head in the third match of the day. Despite the fact that lawnmowers are designed to cut grass, it was Lawnmower FC who were cut down to size by Corona Rovers. Corona Rovers put in a powerful performance and never let up, securing a convincing 5-1 victory over their opponents.

In the penultimate match of the day, Deportivo de la Zouch faced off against Athletico de Swad. It was Deportivo de la Zouch who dominated proceedings, however, with their opponents unable to put up much resistance. The final score was a resounding 6-0 victory for Deportivo de la Zouch, leaving Athletico de Swad feeling a little shell-shocked.

Overall, it was a great day of football in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league, with some impressive performances from all the teams involved.
