Sunday 30th October - Swadlincote End of Season Round-Up

It was a good end to the season overall in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night barring a cancellation on the day from Budweiser FC who we thank for contacting us and look forward to seeing back for the first games of the new campaign on Sunday 6th November.

We saw two new teams join the action this week and both had tough starts but will be looking to settle in for the new campaign.  It was definitely a baptism of fire for new boys Corona Rovers who came up against this season's champions Deportivo De La Zouch who were not in forgiving mood in front of goal as they racked up a 14-1 win over the new boys.

The other new side Swadlincote Rovers were beaten 7-0 by West Hurts United who have improved in recent weeks and will be looking for a higher finish this time round as the new season approaches!

Well done to Lawnmower FC who also grabbed their first win since joining as they were 3-2 winners over Paralympiakos in a well competed game.

The new season's fixtures will be live online for all teams to view in the next couple of days, we wish all good luck going into game week 1 of the new campaign as we have a few new teams to start afresh this time out.
