Leisure Leagues Swadlincote Sunday 6-a-side League - Match Results and Reports (Sunday, 3rd December)

Game 1:

The Underdogs faced player shortages this week, but they managed to put a team on the pitch and get the job done in a highly competitive game. Both sides showcased impressive skills, with excellent defending. Erik provided the Underdogs with a lead (9'). Just before the end of the 1st half, they extended their lead to 2-0. The 2nd half was equally entertaining, especially as Tommy scored for Roadworx (24'), narrowing the gap to one goal with 2 minutes left. In the final minute, Adrian (Roadworxs) received the ball in his own half, ran past two opponents, and hit the post with 5 seconds to play, narrowly missing out on a vital point. Full Time - Underdogs 2-1 Roadworxs.

Game 3:

Another thrilling game unfolded at the venue with both teams showcasing spirit and skills. There were numerous one-on-one challenges and solid defense on both sides. Autismo Allstars took an early lead with a goal from Reece (4'). However, the lead didn't last long as Jordan scored from almost 20 yards after 3 minutes, making it 1-1 and bringing Budweiser FC back into the game. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, and far from being boring, it was well-contested. Matty (Autismo) hit the post twice, from 25 yards and 35 yards respectively. The game featured a race between Jordan and Reece by the line, with Matty and Joe taking charge in the middle of the park. Full Time - Autismo 1-1 Budweiser FC.

BEN (Autismo Allstarz)

PARALYMPIAKOS faced a tough challenge against Isn't It FC, who took the lead through Josh on 4 minutes. Callum managed to level the score (7') for Paralympiakos. Despite good saves from both keepers, and a solid performance from all players, a bit more luck favored PARALYMPIAKOS as Jamie scored at 17' and secured the points. Full Time - Paralympiakos 2-1 Isn't It FC.

League Update:

Deportivo De La Zouch has been removed from the league due to non-attendance without notification. We welcome the new team 'Mother Munchers' as their replacement and wish them good luck in their debut game on Sunday 10th December.
