Sunday 7th April - Swadlincote Round-Up

Overall it was a good evening's football in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance barring Isn't It FC who we look forward to seeing return on Sunday 14th April.

We are pleased to welcome new team 'The Somali Feds' to the league which fills the final space, we wish these good luck in their league debut this weekend on Sunday 14th April.

The Underdogs lived up to their name, staging a spectacular comeback to clinch a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Mother Munchers. In a game that truly encapsulated the spirit of the sport, Harleigh Cooley stood out, scoring two goals for Mother Munchers. Despite ending up on the losing side, Cooley's performance was nothing short of exceptional as he finished the week's top scorer in the Premier League division.

In another high-octane match, WM Village triumphed over Paralympiakos with a scoreline of 6-3. This game showcased the incredible talent and competitive spirit present in this league. The WM Village team demonstrated a strong offensive strategy throughout the match, which paid off with their decisive victory.
