Sunday 7th January - Swadlincote End of Season Round-Up

It was a good end to the season overall in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league this week, with some well competed matches played throughout the night as the league returned to action for 2024!

Kicking off the week 14, the Autismo Allstarz fell short by one goal against The Underdogs with a scoreline of 0-1. The spotlight, however, was stolen by the match between Paralympiakos and Mother Munchers, where Paralympiakos showcased their dominance with a score of 6-1. Mother Munchers, despite putting up a brave fight, failed to bag the victory.

The Premier League division saw an unprecedented score when Road Worxs faced Barely Athletic. In a head-turning performance, Barely Athletic thrashed Road Worxs 6-0, making it the highlight game of the evening.

The final whistle of the week brought an end to the league, marking Barely Athletic as the victorious team in the Premier League division. With a staggering total of 25 points and 12 wins, Barely Athletic clinched the top position, leaving every spectator in awe of their stellar performance throughout the season.

The league also witnessed exceptional individual performances, with Kieran Fletcher of The Underdogs team leading the charts. Fletcher became the top scorer in the Premier League division with a total of 9 goals, adding to the high-voltage excitement of the season.
