Sunday 8th January - Swadlincote Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled as we played the first round of fixtures for 2023!

Deportivo De La Zouch made it seven wins in as many games for the season as they were comprehensive 7-1 winners over Corona Rovers, the positive for the losing team being that they were the first team to breach the champions defence this season. 

 Budweiser FC move in second place following an impressive 3-1 win against Lawnmower FC, above Boom Xhakalaka on goal difference as they suffered a 4-3 reverse against Swadlincote Rovers.

Elsewhere a recently improved Paralympiakos claimed a 4-2 victory over Maradona Kebabs in a well competed match.

We are pleased to have the league back up and running for the new year and wish all teams good luck going into games on Sunday 15th January with Swadlincote's premier providers of small sided football!
