Swadlincote Sunday 6 a side league update 13th
The Swadlincote Sunday 6 aside league continued its exhilarating action last night as teams battled it out in the highly competitive Week 9 matches.
Unfortunately Corona Rovers failed to attend this week and have now been removed from the league as this was the second consecutive week in which they have been unable to field a team. We do have a couple of teams on the waiting list, so their place will be filled in time for this weeks fixtures.
In one of the standout matches of the evening, Deportivo De La Zouch clashed with Budweiser FC. Both teams showcased their skill and determination, but it was Deportivo De La Zouch who emerged victorious with a 4-2 win. The players displayed incredible teamwork and precision.
Meanwhile, Paralympiakos faced an uphill battle against Barely Athletic. Despite putting up a strong fight, Paralympiakos failed to find the back of the net, ultimately suffering a 4-0 defeat. On the other hand, Barely Athletic showcased their prowess in front of goal, thanks in large part to the outstanding performance of their top scorer, Tommy Large. With a total of 2 goals, Large proved indispensable for his team.
