In the dramatic seventh week of the Saint Leonards-on-sea Wednesday Football League, all eyes were on the Premier League division, where skills were tested and legends were born.
The week started with a nail-biting face-off between Urban Ballers FC and 5GuysPlus1, which ended in a 2-2 tie. Both teams showcased their excellent defensive skills and strategic maneuvers, with neither of them letting the other get an upper hand. The heat of the competition was palpable, and the thrilling performance set the tone for the rest of the week.
Following closely was the electrifying match between Royal Fail and Union STL. In a breathtaking display of agility and technique, Union STL narrowly edged out Royal Fail in a 4-3 victory. The match was a roller coaster ride of emotions with an explosive conclusion.
In another intense game, Site Bashers and Whoatedepays fought hard, resulting in a 3-3 draw. Both teams demonstrated outstanding teamwork and sportsmanship, leaving spectators on the edge of their seats.
However, the most exhilarating match of the week was undoubtedly between Shed FC and Win or Booze FC. Win or Booze FC emerged as the clear victors with a staggering 20-3 victory over Shed FC, creating a record for the most goals scored in a single match this season. A huge percentage of the credit goes to Sam Scott, the top scorer in the Premier League division, who netted a remarkable seven goals for Win or Booze FC.
This week's results have not only reshaped the league tables but also intensified the competition among the Premier League division teams. As we move towards the business end of the season, it would be fascinating to see how the teams strategise to outdo each other in the coming weeks."
