February 25th update

We have extended!

How exciting! its incredible to see just how quickly our Monday 6 a side league has grown. The league has now grown and added an extra division, which is now up to 14 teams!

Even at 14 teams, we are still the only league in Basingstoke to be able to boast 100% attendance since the league began. Join Leisure Leagues and experience the most organised and professionally run 6 a side league in the area!

Now onto our team of the week!

This weeks team of the week goes to Sperm Tour. Now before I tell you what the referee had to say about the game, just remember the quality of both of these teams, both title contenders, both doing very well in the league so far, so the quality is very high. The first thing the referee said to me after the game..."WOW! that was very one-sided. ABCDE FC just got completely spanked! I am also told that this was not necessarily ABCDE FC being awful, because the ref did also drop some names in that played well for them, Sam Belcher got a strong mention and apparently stopped it being much worse, pulling off endless amounts of saves. They also had some injury issues, BUT lets not take any credit away from the boys that lit up the night, especially the main man James Hudson! Another quote from the referee " I know the keeper had one of the games of his life tonight, but James was easily the best player on the pitch". Sperm Tour have found their title contending form back again and with that win, they have jumped into 2nd for a shot at the title. Its good to see the boys find their form again.

MOTM awards from the night -

Nathan Boucher - Shitzerland - Nathan claiming his 2nd MOTM award of the season tonight and very well deserved, putting in a real shift for his team!

Joe Fuller -  Athletico Pathetico - Joe must have found some boots that fit him, getting his first MOTM award and getting his name on the 'most valuable player' table. He had a great game, lets hope he can carry it on to next week and continue his new found form.

With more players signing up to their teams and wanting to receive their MOTM awards, we still unfortunately have a few not quite there yet and missing out on the possibility of claiming 'most valuable player' GET IT DONE!
