ABCDE FC miss out to go clear at the top!

We say goodbye to a couple more teams...

This week we say goodbye to The Cavs and Nice to Michu with them having to withdraw from the league due to lack of players. We also say goodbye to Chicken Tikka Mo Salah, who have been with us for a couple of seasons now but felt it was time for a break with the intention to rejoin the league in the future. We thank you all for playing with Leisure Leagues and hope to see you all soon!

Let's now get down to our current league teams from last week.

PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM OF THE WEEK!

This was almost definitely not the way these boys wanted to end their season with us, but they were just completely outplayed by our reigning champions in a 13-1 thrashing. Strangely though it was only 1-0 until half time, which obviously changed as soon as James Hartwell and his men turned on the style in the second half, scoring some sensational goals in the process. With all that attacking football though did make them slightly week at the back, which ended up making them concede more goal scoring opportunity than they probably would have liked.

DIVISION ONE TEAM OF THE WEEK!

We really did have to award My Little Bony with the prestigious weekly accolade of 'team of the week' due to their impressive first win. The was impressive because of how comfortable they managed the game, which ended 6-1and also takes them up into 6th place. The word from the referee is that they simply bossed the game from start to finished. They looked in control for large parts and never really looked like conceding enough goals to lose. Bearing in mind these guys only formed as a team of strangers a matter of weeks ago and are already off to an exceptional start to their first season, we really are intrigued to see how these guys progress towards the end of the season.

DIVISION ONE MOTM!

George Farthing - 2 girls 1 Klopp - George put in a fantastic display for his team this week and really lead by example ensuring his team achieved their first win of the season!
