Awful weather on a Monday night is not ideal!

Well this was a first for the league, as we were yet to experience any severe weather conditions. In some respects this is is very fortunate, especially as England isn't known for its consistently pleasant weather.

I would like to say a special thanks to all the teams and referees that still braved the rain and turned up to honour their fixtures. It just goes to show how dedicated we are at Leisure Leagues to provide the best small sided league, no matter what. Something that has clearly rubbed off on our teams that have all been incredibly reliable, even when the weather isn't what you might call 'ideal playing conditions'.

Now onto the good bit and the bit you all came to read, so lets find out how all the teams got on with their fixtures and see who stood out for MOTM.

PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM OF THE WEEK!

Tea & Busquets will be walking away with 'Team of the week' this week, after they showed exactly why they are now considered 'title contenders', as they now sit middle of the table and only 1 point behind 2nd placed Sperm Tour. Ferguson and his team have made a really impressive push for the top of the table in recent weeks. I have heard a referee in past say that they really turn on the style and are such an exciting/entertaining team to watch, he said they are such an impressive team and should really be considered a team to fear. We really hope these guys can continue their current form and continue their push for the league title.

DIVISION ONE TEAM OF THE WEEK!

There is no doubt in our minds who deserves 'Team of the week' this week from division one. It was very possibly the biggest shock result of the league! Astroworldies, who sit FIRMLY bottom of the league and are yet to gain a single point, have thrashed Man Chest Hair United, who are on course for promotion and currently sitting 2nd in the league 4-1. What a performance Salvy and his men put in on Monday night and what a moral boost this will be for their team. This is exactly what Astroworldies needed to get their first points of the season and get the second half of their season off to good start. I am told that Man Chest Hair united where nowhere near their best in the awful conditions, but to not take anything away from Astroworldies, who all put in a real shift for their team and 100% deserved the win. Lets hope this is the start of something special for them and that they can continue this winning form!

Hopefully we look forward to a slightly drier evening next week, so we will see you all next Monday!
