Press Release: Basingstoke Monday League Week 10 Results

In yet another exciting week of the Basingstoke Monday Football League, the city's top local 6-a-side teams took to the pitch for week 10 of the action-packed season. Division 1 and Division 2 both saw their share of thrilling face-offs, with several teams making clear statements of their intent for the final stretch of the season.

In Division 1, Scrote City FC demonstrated their defensive capabilities, securing a clean sheet against Peps Army and taking the match 2-0. Blazers were defeated by Tinchy Sneijder in a closely fought battle that ended 3-2. The night's highest-scoring game came from Top Fraggerz and Daniel Stubbage FC, with Daniel Stubbage FC clinching victory in a six-goal thriller, taking the game 4-2.

Over in Division 2, Barely Athletic played a fantastic match against Southampton Spys, winning 2-0. The highlight of the night undoubtedly came from Unfit FC, who displayed an extraordinary offensive performance against Real Sosobad, winning 7-0. Elsewhere, Goal Diggers and Six Offenders could not be separated and ended in a 1-1 draw. Shin Pad Shaggers FC were narrowly defeated by Iron Tigers in a high-scoring game that finished 6-5.

Despite stiff competition, the top scorers for this week were Unfit FC from Division 2 with an impressive seven goals, while in Division 1, it was Daniel Stubbage FC taking the accolade with their four-goal haul.
