The last week before lockdown!

It was our last week of 6 a side football at The Vyne School on Monday night again ahead of the new national lockdown for the second time, which annoyingly means no more football until December at the earliest.

PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM OF WEEK!

I have no choice but to award AFC Dapdune team of the week this week. These guys haven't had the best of starts since joining our league at the Vyne School with some BIG loses...HOWEVER, they've obviously decided they had enough of losing last week and really turned on the style in a very comfortable looking 6-3 win. Let's get something straight, their opponents are not a bad team and would have expected to win this game fairly comfortable given James Melotti's teams performances for their first few weeks. We have established that they have a solid keeper and now it looks like they have made some new signings or just strengthened their original team, either way that have massively improved throughout the week! I really look forward to their next game against a tougher opponent to see how much they've improved...

DIVISION ONE TEAM OF THE WEEK!

Tekkerslovakia with ANOTHER win! They really stepped it up last week with a new signing who really helped balance their defensively minded team and really brought some goals to the team. Their opponents would really have expected to win this game and would be disappointed with a defeat, but all credit to Calum Morgan's team for really turning the style on this week. This win also helps them leapfrog their rivals at the bottom of the table to get them off the bottom and into 7th yet again. I really hope that these wins they've picked up recently will help them in the last few games of the season and give them some decent momentum going into the new season!

DIVISION ONE MOTM AWARDS!

Alexander David - Man Chest Hair United - Alex has started collecting some MOTM awards recently after regaining his fitness and form. He is really starting to catch the eye of the referee with a mixture of his work load, goals and assists for his team.
