Play in the Brierley Hill Thursday football league powered by Leisure Leagues
The new season of the Brierley Hill Thursday 6 a side Football league kicked off last night, with exciting action taking place in both the Premier League and Division 1.
Unfortunately, we did also have a non-attendance on the night as Borussia Monchenglassback were not present for their fixture and we will be in contact with them this week to confirm their return for next Thursday. It is paramount all teams are present for their fixtures in order for the league to run as smoothly as possible each week, if there are any problems please be sure to contact your area manager in plenty of time.
In the Premier League, The Cabin made quite the statement, trouncing Kingsway FC by an impressive score. Elsewhere in the Premier League, 2000 No Kiss Baby edged out Exeter Gently in a tightly contested match that ended 5-4, while Hakuna Juan-Mata convincingly beat Here 4 A Pint After FC with a scoreline of 4-1.
In Division 1, Non Bibs FC started the season on a high note, defeating Sedgley Bombers FC 2-0. However, it was Kford & Co who stole the spotlight with a 3-2 win over Blue Ballers. Fake Madrid also managed to secure a win against Sporting Lesbos, with a score of 2-1, while Specs Offenders began their campaign with a commanding win over Miler FC.
As the season progresses, all teams will undoubtedly be looking to improve on their performances, and the competition is expected to intensify. The early signs show that fans are in for a truly exciting season of football.
