Abingdon Thursday 5 a side new season kicks off!

NEW ABINGDON THURSDAY 5 A SIDE SEASON GETS UNDERWAY!

Our new Abingdon Thursday Football League kicked off its highly anticipated season with two divisions last night. Teams showed an exhilarating display of skill, determination, and goal-scoring prowess  with some really tight games. Here's a look at the opening nights scores:

PREMIER LEAGUE

In the Premier League, Nathan Collins FC got off to a flying start with an impressive 4-1 victory over champions FC Hog. Their relentless attacking play and clinical finishing ensured a strong start to their campaign as they bid to wrestle the title back from FC Hog. Meanwhile, new team Thursday Club faced a tough challenge against George 249, ultimately succumbing to a 7-0 defeat. The match between Xavi Dodgers and Murder On Zidanes Floor was a thrilling contest that ended with a narrow 4-3 victory for the latter.

DIVISIONS ONE

Over in Division 1, The Pie Eaters showcased their determination and resilience with a hard-fought 3-2 triumph over Alisson Wonderland. RealSoSoBad emerged victorious in a high-scoring encounter against Ange Summers, winning by a scoreline of 5-3. The match between Narcos FC and Last Chance Salloon was a closely contested affair, with the latter edging out a 4-3 victory.

With the season just getting underway, the Abingdon Thursday Football League promises to deliver many more thrilling encounters and memorable moments. We can look forward to a season filled with intense competition, breath-taking goals, and unforgettable displays of skill.
