Abingdon Thursday's 5-a-side football league continued to serve up riveting action as it entered week eight, with Division 1 teams pulling off electrifying performances that kept us on the edge of our seats throughout the night.

DIVISION ONE

Under the floodlights, Ange Summers face Bola Boys in what proved to be a tightly contested match. Despite a valiant effort from Ange Summers, Bola Boys clinched a narrow 5-4 victory, displaying their sheer determination and resilience.

The next match saw FC HOG dominate The Pie Eaters, wrapping up the game with a convincing 8-0 win and in turn the title. The Pie Eaters, set aback by the margin, will no doubt look forward to coming back stronger next week.

RealSoSoBad and Narcos Fc turned the pitch into a scoring fest, with RealSoSoBad putting up an impressive 8-3 victory. Their attacking prowess on full display, they managed to assert their dominance over Narcos Fc convincingly.

Meanwhile, Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels and Nathan Collins FC delivered the most evenly contested match of the night. The teams battled it out fiercely, with neither able to secure the upper hand. The encounter eventually ended in a 4-4 draw as Skrtels caused the upset of the night, which was enough for FC Hog to seal the title with a game spare.

The Abingdon Thursday 5-A-Side League continues to offer thrilling matches week after week, with Division 1 teams showcasing some of the most exciting football the league has to offer. As we move forward in the season, we will be eagerly looking forward to more such action-packed encounters.
