End of the season at our Abingdon Thursday 5 a side league!

It was the end of the Autumn 5 a side season at our Thursday night league last night from Tilsley Park. Two teams proved to be a cut above the rest in their respective divisions while only two points separated second from bottom in Div 1.

Congratulations to our Premier League Champions Nathan Collins FC who retained their title with a 100% record, they also boasted the league's top scorer and MVP winner amongst their ranks in their captain Harry Stanley, well done on 40 goals and 6 MVP awards throughout the season. FC Hog edged Jamie Lake's U16s to the runners up spot on goal difference, both sides more than capable of giving Collins a run for their money in next seasons title race, Lake's finishing with a 6-4 win over Eat Sleep Lose Repeat while FC Hog picked up a 5-0 points match win.

In Div 1 Narcos lifted the trophy, finishing five points clear at the top, rounding off a successful season with an 11-5 win over Zircotekkas, their striker Luke Thorne picking up the Div 1 Golden Boot. Realsosobad edged out Xavi Dodgers to the final promotion place with a 9-4 win over them, their captain Karl Saunders grabbing a hat-trick during a man of the match performance. The Pie Eaters defeated Megs Fit in a thriller 6-5 which meant Realsosobad in second finished only two points above The Pie Eaters in 6th.  

A big thank you to Dean for his efforts this season running the night every week along with our refs Nick and Soti. Thank you to all our captains and players, the new season will start on Thursday 8th December and the new fixtures will be out by Tuesday morning at the latest.
