Abingdon Wednesday 5 A Side Football

Abingdon Wednesday's 5 a side football league saw some exciting matches in week 9 of the season. Fans at Tilsley Park were treated to some thrilling football action as teams in the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 battled it out on the pitch.

In the Premier League, Botley Wanderers extend their lead with a 5 - 0 points win over the absent Goring GOB's. FCUOB put in an impressive performance, scoring 6 goals to defeat The Mighty Ducks. However, the highest-scoring match of the night was between Ashburton Army and Alfredians, with Alfredians coming out on top with an 8 - 5 victory.

Division 1 also saw some dominant performances, with Basically Barca putting on a masterclass with an 11 - 0 win over Abingdons Finest. Meanwhile, Slough Posse took a 5 - 0 win from their scheduled game against new side Wedding Cake Utd who unfortunately couldn't raise a side this week. FC ProSESHionals struggled against Botleys Finest, losing 15 - 3 in a fairly one sided match.

In Division 2, Ale Stars emerged victorious in a high-scoring match against OGM FC, with a final score of 14 - 8. Serious Heat also had a strong showing, defeating Black And White FC 10 - 7. Finally, Maragonna and Outer Milan had a tightly contested match, with Outer Milan coming out on top with a 6 - 3 win to maintain their lead at the top of the division.

Overall, Abingdon Wednesday's 5 a side football league continues to entertain and excite fans with its intensity and competitiveness. The league has showcased some exceptional performances this week, with teams demonstrating their skills and strategy on the pitch. Fans eagerly anticipate what the next week of fixtures will bring.
