Abingdon Wednesday 5 a side news - match day 2

The second week of the Abingdon Wednesday Football League saw furious competition and high-scoring games across the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2.

PREMIER LEAGUE  

In the Premier League, Saka Potatoes impressively defeated Basically Barca 4-1. This victory moved them at the top of the division to take an early lead this season. 

DIVISION ONE

Division 1 had an array of high-scoring matches. Raising the bar, Shaggers United clinched a remarkable victory over Spoonies FC, 4-1. Maragonna, however, couldn't stand against the powerful The B480, who won their match 8-4. In the other game Park The Airbus dominated Slough Posse FC to seal a 5-1 win. 

DIVISION TWO

Division 2 was not short of thrilling moments either. Ale Stars edged We8swindon 3-2 in a closely contested match. JET FC overpowered Billy Big Ballers 8-4, demonstrating their striking prowess. FCUOB inflicted a heavy defeat on Pickle FC 16-1. 

The intensity of play indicates what we can expect with a spectacular season ahead of us. The Abingdon Wednesday Football League continues to showcase some of the best local football talent, with players and teams constantly raising the bar, and pushing themselves to new heights.
