Abingdon Wednesday 5 a side news - match day 5

In the heart of Wednesday night, the Abingdon Football League held its 5th edition of the season showcasing some exhilarating performances from teams across three divisions - Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2.

PREMIER LEAGUE  

Starting with the Premier League, a tense contest unfolded between Spoonies FC and Basically Barca. Despite a valiant effort, Spoonies FC succumbed to a 3-2 loss to Basically Barca. 

DIVISION ONE

Meanwhile, in Division 1, a barrage of goals rattled the net as Ham Wallet FC triumphed over Shy Teds FC with a score of 7-4. Park The Airbus and Ale Stars also put up a fierce contest with the former edging out a 3-2 victory. FCUOB made a strong statement with a significant 5-1 win over Slough Posse FC.

DIVISION TWO

Over in Division 2, Michael Ballache FC demonstrated their prowess with a decisive 8-4 victory over Bikini Bottom Ballers. Pewsey Town FC delivered a clean sheet victory over JET FC with a dominant 5-0 win.

Overall, week 5 of the Abingdon Wednesday League was a testament to the raw talent and competitive spirit of the teams. As we approach the sixth week, fans can anticipate more thrilling games and hopefully, more goals.
