ABINGDON WEDNESDAY 5 A SIDE RESULTS - MATCH DAY 5

The fifth week of the Abingdon Wednesday Football League concluded last night. The action was intense and exhilarating, with teams from the Premier League and Division 1 showcasing their skills and competencies.

PREMIER LEAGUE

In the Premier League, Maragonna faced a tough challenge against Basically Barca, ending in a 10-3 defeat. Following this high-scoring game, Holdmybeer dominated their match against Slough Posse FC with a resounding 9-2 victory. These matches have significantly reshaped the landscape of the league, with Basically Barca and Holdmybeer moving further away from the relegation zone.

DIVISION ONE

In the Division 1 games, Park The Airbus went down to AFC Deez Whites in a 6-3 defeat, followed by Rub My Klich losing to Serious Heat in a whopping 12-2 match. JET FC didn't fare any better, falling to Ale Stars with a score of 9-1. With this week’s results, AFC Deez Whites, Serious Heat, and Ale Stars have proven to be the ones to watch in this division.

Toby Cleary was this weeks Most Valuable Player as he put in a excellent display in Basically Barca's win, scoring 5 goals in the match. Also Guy Turner of Ale Stars weighed in with a hat-trick in their victory in Div 1.
