Abingdon Wednesday 5 a side news - match day 8

In the thrilling world of local football, Week 8 of the Abingdon Wednesday 5-a-side Football league gifted us a stunning show of skill and competition across its Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 matches.

PREMIER LEAGUE  

In the Premier League, Spraggys Chopper FC delivered a resounding victory over Ballotellitubies with a scoreline of 8-2. Meanwhile, the Mighty Ducks narrowly edged out The B480 in a high scoring match, ending 7-5. Basically Barca, living up to their name, swept past Spoonies FC with a decisive 7-1 win, further heating up the competition.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, Hangover 96 stole the show with a crushing win over Maragonna, finishing 12-4. Shaggers United clung onto a nail-biting 3-2 victory over FCUOB, while Saka Potatoes won against Ale Stars with an impressive 18-8 score.

DIVISION TWO

Onto Division 2, JET FC clinched an 8-3 victory against Athletic Hanney FC. Billy Big Ballers and Pickle FC were engrossed in a thrilling encounter with both teams settling for a 7-7 draw. Slough Posse FC managed to park the Airbus by a slim margin with a 6-5 victory.
