Abingdon Wednesday 5 a side news New Season Kicks Off!

As the first week of the new season of the Abingdon Wednesday 5-a-side Football League rolled out, we were not left disappointed. The matches saw a display of thrilling games across Premier League, Division 1 and Division 2, with teams locking horns and showcasing their mettle on the field.

Premier League 
In the Premier League, The Mighty Ducks and Basically Barca kicked off the season with a neck-to-neck battle, sealing the game at a 2-2 draw. Delivering a power-packed performance, The B480 made a grand entry into the season, beating  the Bench Squirters FC with a 14-0 victory.

Division 1
Shifting focus to Division 1, Ale Stars reigned supreme over Slough Posse FC with a scoreline of 6-2. Shy Teds FC and FCUOB presented a close fight, with the former clinching a 6-4 victory. Ham Wallet FC turned the tables on Park The Airbus, registering a commendable 11-4 win.

Division 2
The thrill was equally palpable in Division 2 where Pickle FC edged past Bikini Bottom Ballers 8-7 in a pulsating match. Meanwhile, Billy Big Ballers stole the spotlight in a closely contested 6-5 victory over Pewsey Town FC.
