In the fifth week of the Abingdon Wednesday Football League, several matches that were played last night have shaken up the landscape of the divisions.

Premier League
In the Premier League Division, A Bing Dons barely edged out Basically Barca with a 3-2 scoreline. The match was an intense, nail-biting experience with A Bing Dons staging a late comeback to secure their win. Meanwhile, The B480 dominated Ham Wallet FC with a 4-1 victory, cementing their place at the top of the leaderboard. FCUOB also had a dominant performance against The Mighty Ducks, with an impressive 7-1 victory.

Division 1
On the Division 1 turf, 2 Goals 1 Cup were handed a defeat by Spoonies FC in a high-scoring match, ending with an astonishing scoreline of 13-2. This overwhelming victory solidifies Spoonies FC's position as a powerhouse in the division.

Division 2
The action in Division 2 was just as heated. Just Stumpy FC battled it out against Slough Posse FC, with Slough Posse walking away victorious with a 5-3 win. In another close match, JET FC were narrowly defeated by X1 Lightning-way, with a final score of 4-3.

The top scorers in each division were undoubtedly the heroes of the night. Premier League’s top scorer was the striker from FCUOB, netting four goals in their landslide victory. In Division 1, a player from Spoonies FC shone brightly by contributing five out of their 13 goals. In Division 2, X1 Lightning-way's forward was the standout, scoring three out of their four goals.

Next week's games are sure to provide more thrilling action, as teams jostle for positions and strive to outdo each other in their respective divisions.
