Abingdon Wednesday League Closes Season with Stunning Final Week
In the 10th and final week of the Abingdon Wednesday 5-a-side football league, teams across three divisions - Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 - gave their all in high-scoring showdowns, ending the season on a thrilling note.
In the Premier League, Ballotellitubies proved unbeatable, thrashing Shaggers United 8-1. They have been a dominant force throughout the season, winning the division with 15 points and a total of 7 wins on their record. Spraggys Chopper FC also demonstrated their prowess with a decisive 6-2 victory over FCUOB, while The Mighty Ducks succumbed to Basically Barca in a 2-4 result.
Over in Division 1, The B480 made a massive statement with a resounding 20-4 victory over Billy Big Ballers. The B480's impressive performance has clearly paid off, as they claim the Division 1 title with 18 points and 8 wins.
Division 2 saw an electrifying match between Ale Stars and Park The Airbus, with Ale Stars securing a resounding 14-2 victory. Slough Posse FC, unfortunately, couldn't match up to Hangover 96, who triumphed 7-4. With this result, Hangover 96 emerged as the champions of Division 2, boasting a total of 19 points and 9 wins.
