SOCIOS CHAMPIONS OF ABINGDON 5 A SIDE

We wrapped up another season of brilliant 5 a side in our Wednesday night Tilsley Park league this week with Socios being crowned as Premier League Champion with 18 points, a comfortable 5 clear of Saka Potatoes in 2nd. Botley Wanderers finish their 1st full season in 3rd, ahead of Basically Barca and The Mighty Ducks. The Division One title goes to Murder On Zidanes Floor following an outstanding season where they managed to rack up a maximum 20 points and will be looking to carry that form into the premier league next term. FCUOB also gain promotion with their 14 points while Goring Gob's and Pathletico stay put in Division One next season. They will be joined by Division Two winners Wenger Boys and Runners Up Maragonna who both just edged infront of the rest in the tighest division this season. 2 points seperated the top 4 with Ale Stars and Slough Posse only missing out on promotion by a point. Congratulations to all our winning teams this season and a huge thank you to our captains for their continued efforts to keep thier teams going through the toughest summer period. Hopefully, now we are heading towards September and some cooler weather teams will find it easier to get a full side out on a regular basis. 

We will be looking to add a few teams before the new season starts and we have a great offer in place to help them get started. Register your team in August and you will only pay £1 sign on fee, alongside this, we will cover your 1st match fee. What a great time to get involved with a bit of 5 a side with your mates.
