TEAMS BREAK FOR CHRISTMAS AFTER WEEK 7 GAMES

Our teams and officials take a well earned break over Christmas but not before week 7 of our season of 5 a side played out at Tilsley Park in Abingdon. We had a few teams away which is always a shame but there were plenty there still to take on the bitterly cold weather as much as their opponents. In the Prem Hold My Beer beat RMT 8 - 0 while Botley Wanderers and Socios picked up points wins. Murder On Zidanes Floor remain top of Div One after a strong 14 - 3 win against Ale Stars. Scott Harris outscoring his team mates this week to net 5 to send his team into Christmas in top spot. Slough Posse got the better of Appleton Red 9 - 4 and Bagotelli beat Maragonna by the same score to stay level on points with the leaders. We also have joint leaders in Div Two as Goring's points win saw they pull level on points with Wenger Boys who suffered their 1st defeat at the hands of Appleton White. 12 - 6 the score in this one as the Whites move to 3rd in the table. 

So that's it for 2022, as England crash out of the World Cup we prepare for the annual festivities and start to look towards the new year. We hope everyone has enjoyed their 5 a side football this year and look forward to seeing everyone back in January to continue the season. We plan to expand this league further in the new year so any teams looking for a 5 a side experience please get in touch, we also run on Monday and Thursday nights at Tilsley Park so check those leagues out too if they work better for you.
