A wonderful season of the Towcester Monday 6-a-side league came to an end this week, with some terrific games to round off the campaign, keeping in line with the theme we’ve seen all season. 

The title race went right down to the wire, with an incredible twist in the tale on final day. 

As Last in the Kitchen FC managed to find the crucial winning edge to beat Boca Seniors 2-1, they seemed set to win the title on goal difference. 

But Pooventus pulled off an absolute miracle, as they thrashed Yoshimura FC 8-1 to pip their rivals to the title by two goals after identical records to end the season.

A thrilling end to a thrilling battle! 

Champaigne Super Rovers then beat Towcester Young Boys 3-2 and sealed a  fourth-place finish, as Ivory Toast moved out of the bottom two and beat the Ganges to finish in eighth at the death. 

Capping things off, we saw a terrific display from Hardly Athletic take them up into fifth, after they beat Vectors Army 7-1.
