It was a fantastic evening of action at Corby Leisure Leagues on Sunday as the new league kicked off. We were delighted to welcome so many new teams to the league. Due to the popularity, we have decided to open up spaces for a second division- sign up now to secure a spot for next week!
Puta And Pals opened the season with a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Adam Levine. Although the game was marked by tight defense from both teams, Puta And Pals managed to seize their opportunity and secure the points, setting an assertive tone for their season.
The Catalina Wine Mixers made a statement in their first match of the season, outplaying Net Six And Chill with a 4-1 win. The Mixers' offensive prowess was on full display as they found the back of the net four times, asserting their dominance on the pitch.
One of the standout performances of the evening came from StraightDropFc, who showed their attacking power with an 8-3 demolition of Some Assembly Needed FC. The team was in fine form, showcasing their superior tactical acumen and clinical finishing.
Steel Park Tossers also had an excellent start to their season, recording a resounding 5-0 victory over Welland Wanderers. Leading the charge was the division's top scorer for week 1, Leon Thain, who netted a brace for Steel Park Tossers.
We wish all teams the very best of luck for next week!
