New Sunday 6-a-Side Football League Launches at Tytherington

Macclesfield's football enthusiasts have a new opportunity to engage in competitive play as Leisure Leagues introduces a Sunday 6-a-side football league at Tytherington School. Set to commence in June 2025, this league aims to foster community spirit and promote fitness among local residents.

The league will be hosted at Tytherington School, located on Manchester Road, Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK10 2EE. Each match will last 30 minutes, with teams paying £35 per week, equating to approximately £5.83 per player. The surface is suitable for football boots or moulded boots, ensuring optimal play conditions. 

Matches are scheduled for Sunday evenings, providing a convenient time for participants. The league emphasizes safety and professionalism, with qualified referees. 

The league is part of Leisure Leagues' broader effort to promote community engagement and physical fitness through accessible football opportunities. With the success of their existing Wednesday night league in Macclesfield, which boasts 24 teams, the addition of the Sunday league is expected to further enrich the local football scene.
