Sunday 11th June - University of Birmingham Round-Up

It was another fantastic evening's football in the evening sunshine in the Leisure Leagues University of Birmingham Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams attending for their matches as scheduled and some superb football played on game week 8 of the season.  Let's take a closer look at this weeks match action.

Premier Division:

In a clash between the top and bottom teams, Athletico Northfield faced off against Washed Kings FC, and it was a game that followed the script to the letter. Washed Kings FC dominated the match, leaving no surprises as they cruised to a 7-1 victory. The kings of the league showcased their prowess, leaving their opponents washed up and struggling to keep up with the pace. It was a commanding performance that solidified their position at the top of the table.

Chivas Supplemento went head-to-head with Gledfellas in a battle for second place. The match was closely contested, with both teams giving their all. However, Gledfellas emerged victorious with a narrow 2-1 win. Their second-place position remained intact, and they showed their determination to stay in the race for the title. The Chivas Supplemento team fought hard but couldn't overcome the strong Gledfellas defense.

Division Two:

Alton Wanderers FC locked horns with Robben Me Blind, and it was the latter who emerged victorious with a solid 2-0 win. Alton Wanderers FC fought hard but couldn't find the back of the net, leaving them empty-handed in their pursuit of a positive result.

BigFatDave FC faced a formidable opponent in Invictus FC and unfortunately suffered a 2-0 defeat. Despite their best efforts, BigFatDave FC couldn't find a breakthrough and ended the match empty-handed.

Bell Them Birds Back Lad clashed with N'Dicka in Dias in a closely fought contest. It was Bell Them Birds Back Lad who ultimately triumphed, securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory. Division Three:

Broderick AFC fought valiantly but couldn't match the intensity and quality of Sportugal's play.

Top GS showcased their quality and fighting spirit, securing an important victory to climb the ranks. AFC Domi Force put up a strong fight but fell just short in their bid for victory.
