Sunday 19th November - University of Birmingham Round-Up

It was another superb evening's football in the Univesity of Birmingham Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night barring a handful of cancellations.  We look forward to seeing Mxrleys Angels and Schlupp Matip return on Sunday 26th November.  After completing their two weeks notice to leave the league, Washed Kings have now left the league due to a shortage of players.


In the Premier League division, Damo Carew reigned supreme with a 6-3 victory over Chiellini Con Carne, while X triumphed 3-0 against DADS ARMY. METCH FC also saw a victory, scoring 2 points against Chivas Primera's nil. Tom Hunt from Damo Carew stood out with a remarkable 3 goals, earning him the title of top scorer in this division.


Turning to Division 1, Athletico Northfield showed dominance with a 9-1 win against Sharkys Saints. Here, Ewan from Athletico Northfield outshone his peers, netting an impressive 6 goals, the highest in this division for the week.


In Division 2, Diamond Scrubs and SB Generals recorded victories, while Dead Ballers FC and AFC Domi Force ended in a goalless draw. The division's top scorer was Scott of Marx Brothers, scoring 2 goals.


The competition in Division 3 was fierce, with Broderick AFC and ECFC recording wins. Division 4 saw victories for Sevilla Tism FC and Tory Tower FC, while Division 5 hosted an intense match leading to a 6-3 victory for Schmeichel Jackson over Balotelli Tubbies.


The week's results have set an exhilarating tone for the rest of the season. As teams regroup and strategize for the upcoming week, spectators can expect more riveting football in Birmingham's Sunday league.
