Sunday 23rd April - University of Birmingham Round-Up

It was a thrilling week of action at the Birmingham 6-a-side league held at the University of Birmingham on Sunday 23rd April. The state-of-the-art 3G surface was put to good use as all the teams across the six divisions battled it out for victory.


In the Premier Division, Damo Carew managed to edge past Dads Army 2-1 in a tight encounter. Meanwhile, Gledfellas and Chivas Supplemento played out an entertaining 2-2 draw, while Neverloseagain FC and Chiellini Con Carne battled to a goalless stalemate. Washed Kings FC had a dominant performance, securing a 5-2 win over Athletico Northfield.


In Division One, Tikka Takka Til I Die PT2 overcame Metch FC 2-0, while Up The Cru emerged victorious with a 4-2 win over Hales Angels C.F. Weve Got Diogo Jota had a comfortable 3-0 win against Chivas Primera.


Division Two saw Hicks and Eel triumph 4-1 over Goals Aloud, while Invictus FC fell 1-0 to Bigfatdave FC. N'dicka in Dias edged Bell Them Birds Back Lad 2-1, and Alton Wanderers FC put on an impressive display, winning 5-1 against Robben Me Blind.


In Division Three, Dead Ballers FC and The Cotters shared the spoils with a 2-2 draw, while The Hungry Boys secured a narrow 1-0 win over Mxrleys Angels. Cadballerz put on a dominant display, winning 5-1 against Top GS.


In Division Four, Diamond Scrubs secured a 2-1 win over Sporting Lesbians, while Flacid Van Winkel won comfortably 4-1 against Brummie Boys F.C. Gangsters Allardyce also impressed, securing a dominant 7-1 win against Naughty Pinky.


Finally, in Division Five, Youri Nators Alligators and Weoley Warriors played out a 1-1 draw, while Birmingham United emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over Tiger Force. The Pie Guys had a comfortable 3-0 win over Hardly Athletic.


Overall, it was a great week of action in the Birmingham 6-a-side league, with some fantastic performances on show.
