Sunday 24th September - University of Birimingham Round-Up

The new season in the University of Birmingham Sunday 6 a side league, got off to a flying start this week as we had six divisions get underway with the return of the students to the local area!  It was a fantastic evening's action with some competitive matches played across all divisions!

In the Premier League, Washed Kings FC displayed notable prowess, defeating Chiellini Con Carne 3-1. Their star player Wade led from the front, netting two goals, making him the Premier League's top scorer for the week. Ls Up FC also had a commendable performance against Chivas Primera, ending the match with a clean sheet victory of 4-0.


Division 1 kicked off with high-energy games. Up The Cru and Athletico Northfield had a neck-to-neck match, ending 2-3 in favor of Athletico Northfield. Matty from Robben Me Blind shone, scoring two vital goals that helped his team secure a 5-3 victory over Chivas Supplemento.


In Division 2, Chris of Alton Wanderers FC stood out, scoring four goals in their 4-1 win against SB Generals, marking him as the top scorer in this division. AFC Domi Force also got off to a good start by defeating The Hungry Boys 2-0.


Division 3 and 4 saw close games with Broderick AFC edging out Top Gs 2-0 and Tory Tower FC clinching a narrow win over Brummie Boys FC with a scoreline of 3-2. Division 5 also kicked off with Weoley Warriors facing defeat against Real Pasante, ending the game 2-0.
