Sunday 26th November - University of Birmingham Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the University of Birmingham Sunday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance as scheduled barring a handful.  We welcome back Robben Me Blind in Division One and Scunners United in Division Five this week. 

After playing out their withdrawal notice, Mxrleys Angels have now been taken out of the league.  We hope to see these back with us in future and thank them for their time with us over the past two years.


In the Premier League Division, Chiellini Con Carne narrowly lost to LS Up FC, 1-0. Chivas Primera also suffered a defeat with a 3-0 scoreline against team X. DADS ARMY emerged as victors in a hard-fought 3-2 game against Damo Carew. Dan from DADS ARMY was the star of the show, scoring two goals and securing the top scorer spot for the week.


On to Division 1, Athletico Northfield registered a 1-0 win against FDL FC. Cadballerz showed their dominance with a 7-1 thrashing of Gangsters Allardyce, while Chivas Supplemento and Sharkys Saints had to settle for a 1-1 draw. Cauley Bissett was the top scorer in Division 1 with two goals for Cadballerz.


In Division 2, the spotlight was on Liam Smith of SB Generals as he scored an impressive hat-trick in a 6-2 victory over AFC Domi Force. The Hungry Boys lost 2-1 to Marx Brothers, while Alton Wanderers FC shut out Diamond Scrubs with a 2-0 win.


In Division 3, Broderick AFC outplayed Jonah Is Better Than Messi FC 3-1, and ECFC defeated Top Gs 3-1. BigFatDave FC was perhaps the most commanding team of the week, crushing MXRLEYS ANGELS 6-0.


Division 4 saw a stalemate between Brummie Boys FC and The Cotters, ending 0-0, while Tory Tower FC lost to Sevilla Tism FC 4-2. Paraletic Athletic showcased their skills with a 5-0 triumph over Athletics.


Finally, in Division 5, Schmeichel Jackson were narrowly beaten 3-2 by Hangin, while Real Pasante earned a clean 2-0 victory over Tampons Should Be Free.


As we move into the second half of the season, the competition looks set to heat up across all divisions. Here's to more thrilling games and standout performances in the weeks to come.
