Sunday 3rd April - Birmingham Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the University of Birmingham Sunday 6 a side league this week overall.  We did have a handful of teams missing but have confirmed Birmingham Tiki-Taka Elite, Cadrington FC and Wolves of Vita Street return this Sunday 10th  April.  We have removed Masterbaiters from the league for their failure to attend.

We are delighted to confirm the arrival of TWO NEW TEAMS to the league this week.  We wish Naughty Pinky and Robben Me Blind the best of luck going into their first fixtures on Sunday 10th April as both join Division Five.

The top of the Premier Division is looking a bit congested after this week as leaders Gledfellas were beaten 3-2 by FKW FC who now go level on points with the leaders, whilst Sting Dem missed the chance to join the top two on ten points, after being held to a 2-2 draw against Chiellini Con Carne.  All eyes will be on the Gledfellas v Sting Dem tie this weekend which could prove pivotal in the title race.

Other action in the Premier Division saw Ball Shmoovement suffer a narrow 1-0 defeat to Dads Army, whilst Sporting Madrid were heavily beaten 7-2 at the hands of Chivas Supplemento.

Pique Blinders made it 6 in a row this week as they were impressive 3-0 winners against Crusaders Massive, whilst a surpise no-show from Birmingham Tiki-Taka sees them drop to third and allowed Matip to leapfrog them.  Gylfi Pleasures ran out 6-3 winners against Pain in Dias in an entertaining encounter, whilst Athletico Northfield look a useful addition to the division as they beat Chivas Primera 2-1.

Dumbledore Pure Bludz stranglehold at the top of Division Two continues, they remain on a maximum points return from the first six games, the latest triumph in the form of a comfortable 3-0 win over Hales Angels CF, whilst 3 4 a 1ner look to be clawing their way back into the title race, they followed up last weeks 5-0 win with an impressive 6-3 victory over Hotel? Thiago this week.  Hungry Boys slipped to fourth as Come Digne With Me leapfrogged them with a 3-1 victory this week.

Jose 6 moved up to third place in Division Three as they were 3-0 winners over Bayer Neverlusen, with The Tormenta now sitting in fourth place following their 3-2 victory over Damo Carew.  The top two remains unchanged as both got 5-0 wins.

Division Four Alton Wanderers keep their perfect record intact after this weeks matches, they were 3-0 winners over DS Youth Academy in a game they controlled from the off.  The Cotters aren't far behind them as they sit in second place and were convincing 6-2 winners over MPU this week, whilst Chucho Motherfooters were the big winners of the week, thrashing Mxrleys Angels by an 8-1 scoreline.

Charlotte's Hand Me Downs won the only league encounter of Division Five this week as they ran out 4-3 victors against Corner McGregor.
