Sunday 3rd March - University of Birmingham Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the University of Birmingham Sunday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some well competed games played across all six divisions!

In the Premier League, the highlight of the night was the fiercely competitive match between Athletico Northfield and METCH FC which ended in a 2-2 draw. Equal in thrills, Chiellini Con Carne and Damo Carew's match also ended in a 2-2 stalemate. Harry Miles of Damo Carew set the pitch on fire, netting twice and emerging as the top scorer in the division.

Division 1 saw a tight match between Chivas Supplemento and SB Generals resulting in a no-score draw. Gangsters Allardyce stole the show with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Robben Me Blind, with Leroy's brace for Gangsters Allardyce topping the scoring charts for the division.

In Division 2, Broderick AFC outperformed The Hungry Boys with a 4-1 win while Diamond Scrubs suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat against Sharkys Saints. Gary Bennett of Chivas Primera stood out, scoring two goals to become the top scorer of the division.

The action in Division 3 was equally competitive, with AFC Domi Force and Top Gs playing out a closely-fought 1-1 draw. ECFC emerged victorious against The Cotters with a 3-1 scoreline.

In Division 4, Brummie Boys FC fell short to Shaggers with a 1-2 loss, while Circumcised United narrowly lost to Moist Blankets FC with a 0-1 score.

Finally, in Division 5, Athletics were brought down by Tampons Should Be Free with a heavy 1-6 defeat. Elsewhere, Surging Beasts showed no mercy, thrashing Finding Timo 7-0.

We wish all teams the best of luck going into the next round of fixtures with Birmingham's premier providers of small sided football!
