Sunday 3rd September - University of Birmingham Round-Up

It was another fantastic evening's football in the University of Birmingham Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance as expected throughout the night as we return to normality following the summer holiday season, we look forward to seeing teams in regular attendance going forwards!

We are delighted to welcome back Alton Wanderers to the league after a brief hiatus, we wish these good luck going into their Division One fixture this coming Sunday 10th September.


In the Premier League division, Washed Kings FC managed to secure a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Damo Carew, while Chiellini Con Carne claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over DADS ARMY. Michael Bastow of Chiellini Con Carne emerged as the match winnner.


Division 1 witnessed an enthralling encounter between Union WIP and METCH FC, with Union WIP triumphing 2-1 to claim all three points. In this division, Alex Benn of Union WIP amongst the goals.


Division 2 was filled with high-scoring affairs, as Cadballerz dominated with a resounding 6-0 victory over Invictus FC. Chivas Supplemento also displayed their attacking prowess, securing a convincing 4-0 win against Kroos Control. Ivan of Cadballerz emerged as the top scorer in Division 2, amassing an impressive 2 goals.


In Division 3, AFC Domi Force proved their mettle with a dominant 4-0 victory over Dead Ballers FC. Sportugal narrowly edged out BigFatDave FC with a 2-1 result, while Bell Them Birds Back Lad showcased their attacking prowess with a comprehensive 7-0 win against Weoley W**kers. Joe of Bell Them Birds Back Lad emerged as the top scorer in Division 3, finding the net on 3 occasions.


The Division 4 matches witnessed intense battles, with The Hungry Boys registering a solid 3-1 victory over MXRLEYS ANGELS. SB Generals showcased their offensive skills, securing an impressive 5-0 win against Top Gs, while Diamond Scrubs claimed a 2-0 victory against Leavemyarcelona.


In Division 5, Tiger Force emerged victorious with a resounding 5-0 win against Weoley Warriors. Le Sserafim FC and The Cotters played out an exciting goalless draw, showcasing their defensive resilience. 


We thank all teams for their continued commitment and reliability towards the league and wish all teams the best of luck heading into game week 9 of the season with Birmingham's premier and longest established small sided football providers!
