Sunday 7th January - University of Birmingham Round-Up

It was a good end to the season overall in the Birmingham Sunday 6 a side league this week as the final games of the season were played on the return for 2024!


The Premier League division concluded with the METCH FC securing a narrow 2-1 victory over Damo Carew while Say No To Drugs FC and Chivas Primera ended their season in a 2-2 stalemate. The top scorer honours in the Premier League division went to Tristan Allport of Chivas Primera, who added another goal to his impressive tally.


Division 1 saw Robben Me Blind defeating Sharkys Saints 4-2, and FDL FC losing 0-2 to Chivas Supplemento. Ben of Sharkys Saints emerged as the top scorer in this division, contributing significantly to his team's success.


In Division 2, AFC Domi Force was upset by Diamond Scrubs with a 1-3 loss. The Marx Brothers narrowly beat Dead Ballers FC 2-1, and SB Generals triumphed over TMA in a high-scoring game ending 7-5. The Hungry Boys lost 1-2 to Alton Wanderers FC. Armaan of SB Generals had an outstanding performance, scoring four goals to become the top scorer of Division 2.


Division 3 saw Broderick AFC crushing Neckin A Stella 12-2, while ECFC outplayed Leavemyarcelona 3-1. The only goal of the match between Top Gs and BigFatDave FC was scored by the latter securing their victory.


The Cotters claimed a 1-0 win over Athletics in the Division 4 game, rounding off the week’s results.


The season ended with Ls Up FC, Cadballerz, SB Generals, Broderick AFC, Sevilla Tism FC, and Real Pasante emerging as the winners of the Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, Division 4 and Division 5 respectively.
