12/03/2023 Some unbelievable 7-a-side was on show at the Northampton Sunday league this week as the goals wouldn’t stop coming, especially in one game where you’d stare in disbelief at the scoreline. Although we started with a couple of walkovers, NGH United and Never Back Down brought the heat in the first official fixture of the evening. They went head-to-head in a nine-goal thriller, but Never Back Down ended on top with a 6-3 win. Gromit Mug continued their solid form as they eased past Retirement Home FC for a 4-0 win. The action ended in the craziest possible fashion, as league leaders Whilton sounded off a warning to the whole league with a performance for the ages. They absolutely hammered Pay To Win 21-0 to massively boost their goal difference aside from the two-point lead they already hold. Who can stop them? Back to articles page
