This week's clashes in the Northampton Sunday league saw two particularly incredible showings among some more great 7-a-side football action.

The Old Firm were dethroned off the top of the table in a huge upset, as eighth-placed Real Northants comfortably beat them 4-1 in a fantastic showing to claim only their second win of the season. 

Hangover FC's 2-1 win over PhatSeshUnited thus propelled them over the Firm and into second place. Meanwhile, Team Alpha were the biggest winners on the night, not only in terms of the scoreline, but their league position as well. 

They dismantled Misfits 10-0 to go top in what was a statement performance. NN Boyz also kept pace with the top three with a solid 4-1 win over Never Back Down FC. And in another fantastic display, Whilton FC also put double digits on the scoreboard against their opponents Chiltern in a 10-2 victory.
