A terrific campaign in the Northampton Tuesday 7-a-side league came to a close this week at the Uni of Northampton pitches, as we crowned our champions Unathletico Madrid.

Having enjoyed an invincible season, only drawing one and winning all 13 of the other games, the champions took home a deserved title. 

Finishing runners-up we’re SMFC, who put up a remarkable challenge for the title, and just lost the one game en-route to a second-place finish. 

The margins were razor thin, however and they ended their season on a high with a 4-2 win over Skippers. 

DZ United climbed up one spot on the final day, battling past NFI United 2-1 to take fifth. 

Tea and Busquets capped off a solid season with a 3-0 victory over Con Rong Chau Tien to end on a high.
