Another promising season in the Northampton Tuesday 7-a-side league kicked off at the Uni of Northampton pitches this week. 

While we began with walkovers for Chrisdale Palace and Tea and Busquets, there were still two official games with lots of talking points to discuss. 

Last season’s runners-up SMFC faced off against DZ United in the opener, and managed to come away with a 1-0 win to begin their quest to go one better than the last campaign. 

Skippers FC also got off to a flying start, as they saw off NFI United 4-1 to start their season with a bang.

Remember though, a walkover for your side doesn’t mean you can’t still get on the pitch. You can always turn up, pay and play as usual to claim your default win and enjoy a no-stakes friendly against another side on the day!
