A brand new season of the Northampton Tuesday 7-a-side league got off the mark in style with some terrific games at the University of Northampton pitches. 

Vic Farm FC started on a huge high, dismantling Northampton Rats 8-0 to begin their campaign in the best way possible. Unathletico Madrid and Pique United put on a show, as the former came out narrow 6-5 winners in their 11-goal thriller.

Reigning champions Post Magnet FC cruised past Tea and Busquets 5-0 to open their title defence, as Crystal Phallus received a walkover against A Block. 

Lots of exciting football seems to be in store this season in Northampton.
