In the world of local football, the ninth week of the Worcester Sunday 6-a-side League brought some thrilling performances.
In the Premier League division, La Familia managed to narrowly edge out Muffield United in a 4-3 thriller, while Worcester Massive recorded an impressive 3-0 victory over Victor Moses Lawn. CAFT DUNTS FC also held their nerve against The Bellenders to secure a 3-2 win.
Moving onto Division 1, Fill Me Wycombe claimed a 4-2 victory over Brom FC in an exciting encounter, while Desex Friends outplayed WeDontHaveAkalou with a remarkable 6-3 triumph. An evenly matched game between No Clean Sheets FC and Jota Than The Sun saw both teams sharing points with a final score of 2-2. The highlight of the division was a stunning 8-1 victory by Broken Ankles over Raven United.
In Division 2, close contests were the order of the day. Chaps FC clinched a 3-2 victory over Aspie Avengers while Giroud Awakening scored a convincing 3-1 win over BTD FC. Scoregasm and The Cesc Pistols played out a competitive 1-1 draw.
Finally, in Division 3, PLJ FC outclassed Ball Of Duty with a commanding 7-2 victory. Pique Blinders showed their class against Right Back Out Of The Way, triumphing 6-1. Tin Foil Hats FC also recorded a solid 4-1 victory over Barely Athletic.
