Sunday 15th October - University of Worcester Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the University of Worcester Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches across the three divisions, including two new teams who made their debuts.  

After completing their withdrawal notice, Crapoli have now left the league, we thank them for their time playing and hope to see them return in future.  Welcome to new team UOW Futsal 1 who join as their replacement, and promise to be an exciting addition to the division!

In the Premier League, the match of the day was undeniably Haller You Kante's 9-2 triumph over debutants Victor Moses Lawn. The Division One champions showcased an exhilarating performance, recovering from a heavy defeat last time out. The surprise of the day came from Worcester Team, who clinched a narrow 2-1 victory against Matip Or Dalot, a game that was much closer than had been billed. In another match, Crapoli thrashed Injured FC 4-1, while GD Palops Worcester rounded off the day with a 9-2 win against SEATS R US.

Coming down to Division 1, Brom FC secured a 2-1 win against 2 Left Feet in a close encounter. A goalless draw between 6IX DEFENDERS and CHAMPS FC reflected a strong defensive strategy from both teams. PLJ FC and Haller You Kante 2 shared points in a 3-3 draw, and Not In Your Mums Forest were steamrolled 7-3 by LEAVEMEARSELONA in a high-scoring game.

Division 2 saw an exciting 4-4 draw between INTER Ya Nan and The Mechanics. CUNNY FUNTS posted a huge 15-1 victory over Bens Balls, highlighting their scoring prowess. Name TBC also secured a comfortable 5-2 win over Andy Grays Anatomy. Meanwhile, Romasexuals fell 4-0 to other debutants MurderOnZidanesFloor in a one-sided affair.

While the leagues witnessed some outstanding individual performances, the top scorers for the week in the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 were from Haller You Kante, LEAVEMEARSELONA, and CUNNY FUNTS respectively.

As we move forward into Week 5, the teams will be looking to up their game and shift the momentum in their favor. We wish all teams good luck going into the next round of fixtures and thank all for their continued commitment and reliability towards the league.
