Sunday 23rd April - Worcester University Round-Up

Welcome to the match roundup for the Worcester 6 a side league which took place on Sunday 23rd April at the University of Worcester on the fantastic 3G pitch. All 16 teams from both divisions were in attendance as scheduled, with some breathtaking matches being played. The only exception was FC Wallachia, who have been replaced by new team SEATS R US, and we wish them the best of luck in their debut game.

The Premier Division had some cracking games, with Brewers FC and Unathletico Madrid putting up a fiercely contested 3-3 draw. It was a back and forth affair, with both teams showcasing their attacking prowess. However, the result would have left both teams with a bitter taste in their mouths, as they would have felt they could have snatched all three points.

Champs FC, on the other hand, produced a sterling performance as they defeated Milwall 4-2. Milwall tried to mount a comeback, but Champs FC remained resolute at the back and kept their opponents at bay. Brom FC continued their fine form, securing a 2-0 win over PLJ FC, while Haller You Kante were in scintillating form as they dismantled Matip or Dalot 7-2.

In Division One, the match between Gangstas Allardyce and Para-Rangers was a closely contested affair, with Para-Rangers just edging out their opponents 1-0. The game could have gone either way, but Para-Rangers held on for the win. Haller You Kante 2 produced a dominant display, thrashing Leek in Defence 7-1. Meanwhile, Injured FC put up a clinical display as they defeated Blasters 5-0.

It was a joy to watch these teams compete with such passion and intensity. All teams are reminded that they can call Shaun at Head Office on 0333 123 2340 (Local Rate Number) with any queries regarding their league. We would like to thank all the teams for their continued commitment and reliability. We wish all the teams good luck going into game week 8 with Worcester's premier and only providers of small-sided football!
