Sunday 27th August - University of Worcester Round-Up

Overall it was a good evening's football in the University of Worcester Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches, barring Champs FC who had some late dropouts owing to the Bank Holiday weekend.  They return as normal this weekend as we look to get back to normality with team attendance as the summer holiday's draw to a close.

In the Premier League division, Maradona Kebab dominated their opponents, Haller You Kante, with a commanding 5-1 victory. Maradona Kebab's attackers were in clinical form in front of goal as they made the most of their chances. Meanwhile, 6 Offenders secured a hard-fought 4-2 win against Worcester Team, showcasing their attacking prowess. PLJ FC, unfortunately, couldn't find their rhythm and fell short against SEATS R US, losing 0-4.

Over in the Division 1 division, Brom FC and 6IX OFFENDERS played out an entertaining 1-1 draw, with both teams showcasing their resilience and determination until the final whistle, with 6IX Offenders putting in a solid performance on their league debut. Not In Your Mums Forest displayed their dominance by securing a convincing 4-0 victory over LEAVEMEARSELONA, whilst Crapoli and Leek In Defense locked horns in a goalless draw, reflecting the teams' strong defensive displays. Haller You Kante 2 and 2 Left Feet fought tooth and nail, ultimately ending the match in a 1-1 draw.

As the Worcester Sunday Football League progresses, the battles on the pitch become more intense and exciting. The league continues to showcase the immense talent and passion for the beautiful game within the Worcester community.
